Vox (Sarah McLachlan)

Although Canada’s Sarah McLachlan has been a pretty big star since the late ’80s, and although she has produced some quality music over the past two decades, I don’t think she’s ever matched the magic and incredible beauty of her 1989 minor hit, “Vox”, from her debut album, “Touch“.

There also a terrific extended version of “Vox” on the album, but I first fell in love with the original version highlighted here. This song has not gotten nearly the credit nor airplay it deserves, and I have a hunch that many Sarah McLachlan fans still believe that her first hit was “Into the Fire” from her sophomore album, “Solace“.

There’s not much else I can say about this song, except that it’s quite perfect in every way.
